"Welcome to my journey."

Your journey towards what? The next post of a photo you took of yourself?

The narcissism of people. And they are blind to it. Most are now blind to all.

I saw high circulation newspaper use the phrase "callous beating." I see this kind of thing all the time. There's no quality control with writing, because most people can't tell what anything is. As opposed to an empathetic beating? A sensitive beating? A compassionate beating?

These writers online who post the likes of, "I'm challenging myself to write 500 words a day."

Wow. That's amazing. It's like saying you're going up Everest before the stroke of midnight.

How do you think this plays out? People love it. Writers love it. We want people to suck as much as we suck. If they don't--and the less that they do--the more uncomfortable, insecure, envious, frightened, they make us.

If you're a writer, what would you rather encounter/see: The above, or me? Obviously the 500 word person. You will like them, and, chances are, hate me. Or, if not outrightly hate, then wish nothing to do with, see anything from, receive anything by, put forward, tout, award, etc.

This is the defining principle on which our world now works: Are you like me? Are you mediocre like I am mediocre? Could I be you? Are you achievable? Are you to the side of me, and not above me?

"As someone who spends a lot of time coaching people on building confidence..."

We are moving to a model where there are more coaches than players, and none of the coaches have a clue. It'd be like someone who had no idea what hockey was yesterday thinking they should be the coach of the Bruins next year after hearing about the sport today.

The way in which people live now, sets the world up to fail. Ensures that society fails and it's that much harder to be happier, fulfilled, and less alone.

I'm doing 'Hard 75' challenge presented to me by a type A friend of mine... One thing on the list is to read 10 pages of a non-fiction novel every day. I actually never read The Diary of Anne Frank and was going to go with that, but given the times... Anyone have a suggestion??

Yep. Gotta love those nonfiction novels. For fuck's sake.

The minute someone shows me they are not a safe space I’m gone

Who are all of these people talking to? Honestly? Does anyone have an answer? Millions and millions and millions of people just babbling in the corner which happens to be out in public, kind of, because it's visible on the internet? Who are you addressing? Yourself? Then why are you doing so here? Why not get a diary? Now, one might say that there's benefit in stating something personal but that's only if it can also be beneficial to others. How is this beneficial to others? So it's to be seen? Why? Does that validate a thought? A feeling? A personage? What does knowing that someone saw this do for the person who said it? You look at their page, and it's just someone nattering to themselves in the corner, face to the wall. This is what we've reduced ourselves to. We don't connect, we don't offer, we don't illuminate. We don't speak or act with purpose, or move towards goals. We just natter in the corner.

Time to relax and prepare for the week ahead!! I had a pretty great weekend, I hope you all did too!!!🫶🥰 SundayThoughts

How is that even a thought?

We are no so incapable of and resistant to thinking that we don't even know what a thought is.

But that'll get you 400 likes.
